Last night I had the privilege of seeing Bonnie Prince Billy with guitarist Emmett Kelly & singer Angel Olsen at an old theatre in St Kilda, The National. We sat 5 rows from the front, so it quite intimate (the pic above is our exact view). Bonnie Prince was completely charming - he made constant eye contact with the audience and engaged us with banter and his musings of Australia. His voice is the sweetest thing I've ever heard and he finished the show by singing without microphones, making full use of the theatre's natural acoustics. Complete bliss.
