Watership Down, written by Richard Allen, is a story about group of rabbits trying to find a home. "Watership Down may be treated as an allegory. Thus, the trials and triumphs of Hazel and his comrades mirror the timeless struggles between tyranny and freedom, reason and blind emotion, and the individual and the corporate state. Similarly, each rabbit combines in his or her personality many of the virtues and vices that make humans so complex—and interesting.
